Our final day in the mountains brought the most dramatic weather of the trek. As we set out, billowing clouds gathered overhead and began releasing a flurry of icy snowflakes. This time of year, the weather can shift in an instant, making planning unpredictable, but it also makes every clear moment feel like a gift. When luck is on your side, it’s all the more rewarding.
